Centre for the Research in Music and its Technologies (CRMT)

The Centre for Research in Music and its Technologies (CRMT) is the University of Huddersfield's research centre for the study of music as it is made, recorded and heard. The centre examines how music is created and shaped by the technologies, media and environments through which it is produced and experienced. Its research includes music production and sound studies, popular music studies, songwriting and creative practice, performance, and film and media sound, and is supported by a strong postgraduate and doctoral community.
